Today, instead of doing my job, my contract job, making the dress for my friend’s fast-approaching wedding, or casting on for another friend’s cowl, I decided to make some additions to the cardigan I ‘finished’ last week.

You can’t tell from the photo, partly because the cat decided to join in, but I’ve added some buttons and loops inside the open edges on the lower half so it doesn’t flap about when I move. I thought this would make it awkward to get at my ipod so I put a pocket on the side too. As I thought it might be, it’s a bit tight at the waist - it’s comfortable but it looks bad - though I’m still confident it will loosen up in the wash. Past experience tells me this (100% not wool) yarn usually gains up to an inch around.
